Hood By Air - Pitti Uomo Showcase Lookbook

2015 is set to be big year for Shayne Oliver as he first collection of the year seamlessly made a loud appearance at Florence’s prestigious Pitti Uomo 87. Having been blessed with the opportunity to showcase at the prestigious fashion week as their Special Guest Designer the HBA designer set off the year with a bang with a fire performance which just steps away from the HBA norm whilst still retaining its strange aesthetic brilliance. alongside the neon show, he produced a special edition lookbook for the occasion that was handed out to those in attendance, all shot by esteemed photographer Colin Dodgson.

Featuring a slightly obscure direction, the book portrays male semi-nude model showcasing bare bottom as they travel on a vintage 70's road trip through the industrial scenes of suburban England. With it's built up, dull, cement architecture, the book is set in a location far removed from HBA’s traditional "born to be different/its boring to be normal" habitat.

In Shayne’s own words:
The idea behind the collection is that it’s much more rural and it has much more to do with strong individuals, people who are creating energy in really isolated rural spaces. We looked at shepherds and men who are farm hands, kids that grow up on the farm but they have that angst in them that goes beyond just what they know, they have to feel this energy that there’s something more out there. That’s what the energy behind this was about.
